Chanel Rouge Allure Lip Lacquer - Love Them or Leave Them?

Wednesday, March 24, 2010

Chanel came out with the Rouge Allure Lip Lacquer last year with a total of 8 shades ranging from pink to bright red. I bought three of these to try out during Nordtrom's beauty week.

The formula of these lipsticks are smooth and extremely pigmented.  For special occasions such as weddings, a night out on the town, or photo shoots that need a long lasting lipstick, these are definitely my top pick.  They are so much better than current lipstains on the market that tend to dry out the lips and accentuate every line.  You can quickly swipe these on and go about your day/night without worrying about fading.  These can last a good 8 hrs and do not leave that annoying ring around the lips.

Ming (#76) is a light pink color that gives a soft sensual look and very suitable for work.
Santal (#77) is a light peach that can be paired with a dark smokey eye look.  Again, great for an everyday look.
Mandarin (#79) is a coral red that is super gorgeous on NC30 skin. It doesn't look too red but compliments the skintone very well.  Pls check out this color if you'e always wanted to try red but unsure about the intensity.

Here are some lip swatches of all three colors.

I highly recommend checking these out. They are worth the cost for great pigmentation, smoothness, and wear time.

Final verdict:  Love Them!

I need to check these out! I'm a bit obsessed over the Rouge Coco's. Have you tried them?
Mademoiselle is my fave.
