Resort Life is white with pink pearl. This is a repromote from the Lilyland Collection. It is best layered on top of a lipstick for a shimmery glow.
Slick black is a true carbon black. I believe it is a re-promote from the Art Supplies Collection.
French Quarter is an olive with multi colour pearl.
Melon is a bright golden peach that's been released many times so I didn't swatch it.
Brash and Bold is a bright magenta that's also a re-promote.
Push the Edge is a deep bright purple with pearl that's a re-promote.
Magically Cool Liquid Powder ($29.50)
Truth and Light is a very finely milled, sheer shimmer reflects silver and pink. This color is best as a highlighter for medium skin tones. It might be ashy on darker skin tones. It feels slightly cool on the skin during application.
Cajun is a sheer bronze reflects gold. This is actually suitable for all skin tones because it's buildable and is a soft bronze that's great for contouring. The strange thing for both powders is that they flaked off my skin during application. Since they're so finely milled, you can't rub them on during swatches. The trick is to lightly tap and buff onto the skin when using your fingers. Otherwise, use a brush and you should be fine.
I’m so vain is a round compact mirror that's the same size as a beauty powder. Nothing unique or special besides the print of Dr. Facilier. No pictures taken.
Overall, Dr. Facilier is really a mix bag. I didn't have any favorite products from this set. The pigments are bold and pretty but they are re-promotes from previous collections. Resort Life is also a re-promote so for those of you who missed it the first time around, this is a good opportunity to grab a few ;).
I was mostly interested in the Magically Cooling Powder but wasn't blown away by the product or the price. They remind me of a loose highlighting powder with a slight cooling sensation. Greasepaint sticks are alright but don't impress me as much either compared to Art Supplies Collection. However, if you are new to MAC, definitely check out this set for the pigments and greasepaint sticks.
